Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and BuildMonkeys LLC, which operates ScamSnap. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

Acceptance

By signing in, creating an account, or otherwise using ScamSnap, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Description of the Service

ScamSnap analyzes text, links, and screenshots you submit, and returns an automated assessment of whether the content appears to be a scam, phishing attempt, or other type of fraud.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use ScamSnap. By using the service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your account secure. Don’t share your login. Notify us promptly at support@getscamsnap.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use ScamSnap to violate any law or regulation.
Submit content you do not have a right to submit (for example, other people’s private messages, copyrighted material you don’t own a license to).
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code or models behind the service.
Probe, scan, overload, or test the vulnerability of our infrastructure without prior written permission.
Use the service to build a competing product or train another AI model.
Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access or use the service.

Free Tier and Subscriptions

ScamSnap offers a free tier with a monthly scan limit and a paid Pro tier with unlimited scans. Pricing is shown in the app. Subscriptions renew automatically through your platform’s payment system (App Store, Google Play, or web checkout) until you cancel. To cancel, manage your subscription through your platform’s settings.

Refunds are handled by your platform’s policy, not directly by us.

No Guarantee of Accuracy

ScamSnap provides automated analysis as a guide, not a guarantee. Verdicts are based on AI models and external databases, which may be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. Always use your own judgment. Do not rely solely on a ScamSnap verdict to decide whether to send money, share personal information, click a link, or take any other risky action. When in doubt, contact the supposed sender directly through a verified channel.

Disclaimer of Warranties

ScamSnap is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ScamSnap is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages. We are also not liable for any loss of money, data, or profits that results from using the service or being unable to use it.

Our total liability for any single claim is limited to whichever is greater of (a) the amount you have paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) fifty US dollars.

Termination

You can stop using ScamSnap and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or use the service in a way that harms us or other users.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms become effective when posted. Continued use after the change means you accept the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where ScamSnap is headquartered, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
